A Day On the River

CIMG2476It’s raining today in Gualala, but warm weather and sunny skies are predicted for this Saturday the 29th. Just in time for A Day On the River, our annual Gualala River wild pig barbecue.

Fun starts at 11:00am and Darrell Rodgers will serve his scrumptious barbecued wild pig at noon along with the Hog Island Oysters, salads and home-made desserts. Barbecue tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids under twelve.

Throughout the day enjoy our live music, and don’t forget to partake in the rubber duck races and presentations on watershed dynamics and wild life habitats.

Raffle tickets are a dollar each and if you’re lucky you may win a Steelhead Fishing Pass to the South Fork, a delicious dinner from a local restaurant, an overnight stay in a local B&B and lots more great prizes.

Last year A Day On the river was clear and warm, and this Saturday is expected to be the same! Every year this event is fun for the whole family with lots of fun games and activities for kids. It’s a great chance for everyone to enjoy our local river and wildlife.
